Know all men by these present that Joseph Hardin
as principal and Albus G Stuart as his security are held
and firmly bound unto George Izard Governor of the
territory of Arkansas and to his successors in office
in the penal sum of five hundred dollars, which
payment will and truly be made we bind ourselves
our heirs executors and administrators justly and reverently
by these present insignia with our hands and
sealed with our seals at Davidsonville, this
fourteenth day of November 1823.
Now therefore the condition of this obligation is such
that the above named Joseph Hardin having been
appointed constable by the circuit court of Lawrence
County for two years, in the township of Spring River
Now if the said Joseph Hardin shall
faithfully discharge all the duties according[sic]
to his said office of constable, pay over
all moneys that shall come into his hands
by virtue of this said office, then this
bond shall be void and of no effect.
